BATT ON BASE FELT

▶ The spun yarns or spun/multi filament yarns are used both for the warp and the weft of a base. 
A web is punched onto the base in order to provide a cushioning effect in a press nip point. 
▶ Generally used for press or yankee top 
▶ A compression felt which is appropriate for a paper machine to remove water due to the 
lower void volume
